Our story begins with our immigrant forebearer, Robert Ramsay, who, alongside his wife Elizabeth "Bessie" Anthony, bore thirteen children and raised some of Sweetwater County's most interesting early residents. This resilient pioneer couple's descendants have gone on to achieve remarkable feats, leaving an indelible mark on the history of this area. One noteworthy chapter of our history unfolds at the Ramsay Ranch, situated south of Rock Springs. In the 1800s, this very ranch played a pivotal role in rounding up wild horses and supplying them to the cavalry, contributing to the shaping of the American West.
